Straight Quintuple Pedestal for earlier Philips Hue Remotes

Five Hue remotes is the point where a smart home stops being a couple of lamps and becomes the lighting. The quintuple keeps all five out and readable in one row 222 mm (8.7 in) long, a little wider than a sheet of letter paper. Five remotes in a drawer get sorted through by feel; five on a pedestal get picked up by position.

This remote - the earlier one, with OFF on the bottom button - has no magnet of its own, only a steel slug, so the magnet goes in the pedestal. It sets down onto it at an angle you can read and press without picking it up, and lifts straight off when the battery needs changing. Non-slip silicone feet keep the pedestal put on glass, wood or stone, and it is shaped so that pressing the top button does not tip it.

More than 20 colors. Each filament is either matte or glossy, so the finish comes with the color. Speckled Black is a graphite base with shiny white specks in it, and Cookies & Cream a cool-white base with black specks.

The same pedestal is made as a single, double, triple and quadruple, and a 3+3 sextuple.
